WHY CHOOSE FIS
OUR PARTNERS

The financial services referred to in this guide are offered by:

Financial Information Service Pty Ltd is the holder of an Australian Financial Services Licence (No. 343639).   This licence authorises us to provide general financial product advice for life products limited to life risk insurance products as well as any products issued by a Registered Life Insurance Company.   Our AFSL also allows us to deal in a financial product by arranging for another person to issue, apply for, acquire, vary or dispose of a financial product in respect of life risk insurance.   This guide does not provide detailed information about any life products and services.

Who is providing the financial services?

FIS will be providing the financial service and is an Australian Financial Services License Holder (no. 343639).

FIS provides both inbound and outbound call centre solutions to financial services organisations helping them to communicate with and educate their clients effectively and efficiently. FIS also provides larger financial institutions a solution for distributing financial products and services.

FIS can be contacted by mail at: Level 5, 241 Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills, NSW 2010; or by telephone on 1300 658 633; or by fax on 02 9280 0073; or through our website www.finservice.com.au

Who is responsible for the financial services provided?

FIS is responsible for the financial services provided including the distribution of this Financial Services Guide (FSG).

Do you have any relationships or associations with a financial product issuer who may influence this advice?

FIS receives a fee from its clients for the services it provides.   FIS may also receive commissions in the distribution of life risk products as part of the services it provides to its clients.

What kinds of financial services are you authorised to provide me and what kinds of financial product/s do those services relate to?

In terms of this FSG, FIS is only authorised to provide you with “general financial product advice” rather than “personal financial product advice”. FIS is also authorised to “deal” in (in other words, arrange to issue) financial products. However, in terms of this FSG, such authorisation is only in respect to particular insurance products.

Any general financial product advice we provide you will not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You must therefore assess whether it is appropriate, in light of your own individual objectives, financial situation or needs, to act upon this general advice. To help you make an informed decision about any particular financial product being provided, you will be supplied with a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) which will give you information about that particular financial product.

If you require personal financial product advice then you should seek the services of a suitably qualified financial adviser.

How is my personal information dealt with?

The privacy of your personal information is important to us and we are committed to implementing and promoting a privacy policy, which will ensure the privacy and security of your personal information. If you would like a copy of our full privacy policy please contact us on 1300 658 633.

How will I pay for the services provided?

FIS is remunerated in two ways.   The first is a fee for service arrangement based on an hourly rate for the work undertaken ie. An operator calling into a database on a rate of $60 per hour for 10 hours would require a fee of $600.

The second way of remuneration is through the distribution of life risk products where a commission is paid by the product provider ie. An operator issues a product with a $300 annual premium and FIS receives 70% upfront commission equal to $210 in the first year.   FIS may also receive an ongoing commission and this will vary based on what has been agreed with the product provider. FIS issues a specific financial services guide for each client that it provides services to which has details on what remuneration it receives for that particular campaign.

The telephone operator providing you with the general financial product advice is remunerated by salary but may qualify for a bonus dependent on their individual performance against objectives as agreed.
